No. However, brushing your teeth prior to whitening helps remove plaque and bacteria from leftover foods and drinks. By removing this plaque it helps the whitening agent come in better contact to the tooth surface. This produces a better opportunity for the agent to penetrate the tooth surface.
Dark foods and drinks are commonly known to leave behind stains on teeth. After whitening, your teeth are more susceptible to staining. Avoiding dark drinks and food will help prevent stains on your freshly whitened teeth!
Some whitening agents can cause sensitivity. However, we formulated our whitening strips with potassium nitrate, which has been clinically proven to help reduce sensitivity!
We recommend to whiten for 14 consecutive days. Then touch up as needed every month or before a big event!
